Caroline Princz

Caroline first discovered dressage aged sixteen, when upon leaving school she found a job working for Olympic dressage rider, Laura Fry, at Aike Grange Stud, East Yorkshire.  She is now based in the glorious Oxfordshire countryside at Lyneham Heath Farm.  Here she runs a successful training and livery yard catering for all levels and disciplines, not just the dressage enthusiast!

During her time at Fry’s, Caroline was very fortunate to gain experience riding a variety of different horses. She was very involved in the breaking in and producing all of the young horses. She competed in the BD national championships on several home produced youngsters, gaining an extraordinary first and second place at the BD winter championships in 2002.  Laura also coached Caroline to win the BD talent spotting finals in 2003 held at Addington.

On winning talent spotting, Caroline was awarded £400 to spend on training. As she didn’t have her own horse she was unsure as to what to do. One of the judges at the finals offered to arrange for Caroline to spend one week with his trainer, Hasse Hoffmann, in Denmark.

On arrival, Caroline knew immediately if she wanted a career in dressage, this was the place she had to be. Caroline spent five years in Denmark working for Hasse Hoffmann, one of the greatest riders, trainers, and horsemen in the world. Watching a young Mistral Hojris being educated to grand prix, amongst other now international super stars. Caroline gained invaluable experience in riding hundreds of different horses, as well as gaining new skills in training and coaching riders.

On return to the UK, Caroline found herself at the lovely Cotswold yard of Henriette Andersen and Ulrik Molgaard. Both international grand prix riders. She spent five years with them and is still closely connected to the yard.

With help from Henriette, Caroline trained her own horses from youngsters up through the levels. She gained valuable knowledge in the art of competition riding. She was the champion at the regional finals with her own horse , Preastegardens Dan in 2015.

Caroline is now based at Lyneham Heath Farm in Oxfordshire where she runs her own training and livery yard. She rides her own competition horses , as well as several young horses who are with her to train, compete or sell. She frequently visits Denmark, spending time with her trusted colleagues, searching for top quality, well produced horses to bring back to the UK to ride or sell.
